A701 re-opens after crash

A TWO-VEHICLE crash closed the A701 near Beattock on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 11.15 am, after reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a van.
Police Scotland say the road was closed near the roundabout between Moffat and Beattock while emergency teams worked at the scene, with the road re-opening just before 2 pm.
A heli-med helicopter was in attendance, with Police Scotland stating that one injured person was being transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
