A76 crash victim named

THE man who died in a car crash near Auldgirth on Monday has been named as Antony Munro.

The 29-year-old from Glasgow was the driver of a VW Golf car involved in a collision with an Iveco lorry on the A76.
The lorry driver was a 53-year-old man Cumbernauld and he was uninjured.
Enquiries into the cause of the collision are ongoing and the Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
Inspector Campbell Moffat, of the roads policing unit at Dumfries, said: “We are still appealing for any witnesses to this crash to get in touch with us at Dumfries through 101.”
