CREATION OF HYDROGEN PRODUCTION FACILITY WITH INSTALLED ELECTROLYSIS CAPACITY

AT LAND SOUTH OF FORMER CHAPELCROSS NUCLEAR SITE, ANNAN, DG12 6RF

SECOND PUBLIC CONSULTATION EVENT

Green Cat Hydrogen (GCH) wish to advertise the proposal for a green hydrogen project at Chapelcross, near Creca, Dumfries and Galloway as part of the Chapelcross Energy Transition Zone.

Prior to a formal planning application being submitted to Dumfries and Galloway Council, GCH are holding a second public consultation event, inviting the public to view the plans, learn more from the project team and provide feedback. This advert is to formally publish the details of the second consultation event.

The event will take place at the Creca Village Hall, Creca, Annan, DG12 6RP and will be held on 5th May 2025, 2pm to 7pm

The event will also be advertised on the GCH website – www.gchydrogen.co.uk.

The information presented at the consultation events will also be available on the GCH project website noted above.

Work is underway on the preliminary engineering and environmental studies for the project, in which more detail will be shared at the consultation events.  A planning application is currently being prepared.

If you wish to comment on the proposal, you may do so at the above events or via email at [email protected]. Closing dates for feedback will be the 5th of June 2025.

Please note that all comments must be sent to the above and are NOT representations to Dumfries and Galloway Council. There will be an opportunity to make formal representations to the Council when an application is made.
