A DAD and daughter are organising a fundraising motorbike run this summer.
Carly Smith, of Lochmaben, and her father Steven, who lives in Holywood, have chosen to raise money for Blood Cancer UK after a friend died of it.
They are keen to raise awareness of both the charity and the condition too.
Carly said: “We wanted to help out while also bringing the motorbike community together at the same time.
“We haven’t set a target, it’s not something we thought about doing. Our aim is to just raise as much money as possible.”
The run will take place on Saturday June 14, starting in Dumfries and going out to Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbright, Castle Douglas and Corsock.
The route is approximately 80 miles long and Carly is currently testing it out. On the day, she and Steven will both ride 2024 Lexmoto Lxr 125s.
She added: “People don’t have to register for the run. Just come along to the start point at DG moto.”
