The biggest day of the year is underway in Langholm with thousands of people in the town to see Cornet Henry Jeffrey, pictured above leading the Castle Craig’s rideout, carry out his official duties.
Highlights of the day include the Crying of the Fair, the gallop up the Kirk Wynd by scores of horses and riders, hound trails, sports, horse racing, Cumberland wrestling and Highland dancing.
