DUMFRIES woman Amy Gibson and her dog have been named as the first official ambassadors for the region’s canine rescue centre.
Amy is a long-time volunteer for Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre (DGCRC) and also owns her own business, Track and Trail Canine Outfitters.
Her new role will see her helping the charity plan events, champion its rescue dogs and help spread the word far and wide. She’ll be assisted in her ambassador duties by her spaniel Max, who she adopted from the rescue centre. Amy said: “Max and I are absolutely honoured to be the first official ambassadors for Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre.
“Max changed my life for the better in so many ways. He’s taught me so much and is the reason my shop exists! I’m so proud to be able to give something back and hopefully help some more dogs to find their person.”
