Amber hopes to make a splash in Switzerland

SWIMMER Amber Hinton will fly out to Switzerland with her Scottish Junior Team teammates to take part in the 'Challenge International De Geneve' next week.

She is one of only three 14-year-old girls selected to be part of the 22 strong team for the season 2024/25.

The St Joseph’s student has already attended two junior team camps, in Aberdeen and Stirling, this season where as well as pool training and expert videoing of technique, she has had educational sessions on race preparation and recovery and anti-doping.

Amber will race over three days in Geneva competing in nine events covering a variety of distances ranging from 50m to 800m.

Amber has also just been selected by Scottish Swimming to go to Majorca in May to compete in the Bestfest Open Water development camp and competition experience.
