Animal appeal keeps going up
WINTER APPEAL . . . Mossburn yard manager Siobhan Webster is pictured with the fundraising thermometer and Christmas tree at the farm

A WINTER fundraiser set up by an Annandale animal sanctuary has almost reached a quarter of its £10,000 target.

Mossburn Community Farm at Hightae started the appeal as essential costs continue to go up. As of Christmas Eve they were approaching a fundraising amount of £2400.

The farm cares for around 100 animals at any one time. They have larger animals including horses, cattle, sheep and pigs as well as smaller species such as rabbits, guinea pigs and even a tortoise.

Meanwhile, a memorial Christmas tree has been decorated with over 65 star decorations with names on them each in memory of a pet.

The appeal is still ongoing, and you can donate to Mossburn’s winter fundraising appeal at: peoplesfundraising.com/fundraising/mossburn-winter-appeal-24-25
