They joined the cast at Duncow Primary to help tell the nativity story.
The donkey foal came from the farm of one of the pupils.
And it meant the school’s Mary and Joseph really did get to ride on a donkey to Bethlehem
Teacher Morag Miller said: “We felt it was important to spread some joy and laughter, remembering what Christmas is all about! We are totally thrilled with the results and so are our pupils. We know our parents and carers will just love it!”
