ANNAN claimed their second League One win on the spin last weekend against Dumbarton at Galabank.
The Black and Golds beat the division’s bottom side 2-1 to open up a 19 point gap between the clubs.
The home side opened the scoring just after halftime through Paul Smith.
But Dumbarton levelled midway through the second period when Joel Mumbongo headed home at the back post.
However, Wullie Gibson netted a late spot kick to secure all three points for the home side.
Speaking to club media after the match, Gibson said: “It’s three points which were much needed.
“It was important we followed up last week’s win with a win at home.
“Although we made it hard work for ourselves, we came away with three points.”
