A FUNDRAISING ladies’ day in Annan last Saturday successfully raised £1600 for charity.
Alana Carruthers is once again running the London Marathon next month to raise money for the Anthony Nolan charity.
She is aiming to raise £2000 and encourage people to join the stem cell register.
This will be Alana’s second time running the marathon, after taking part in the 2024 event.
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant.
They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond.
Thanks are expressed to all involved in organising the event and helping on the day; local businesses for their kind donations towards the raffle; Back to Back for providing the entertainment; and the football club for providing the venue.
