A MEETING took place this week to find a new GP for Lockerbie — but health bosses say they can’t reveal any more yet.
Tuesday’s event considered the awarding of a contract to provide GP services out of Lockerbie.
It followed the decision by Alba Medical Group to end their contract with effect from May 31.
A scoring panel looked at the bids which have since come in.
It comprised the director of strategic planning and transformation, the deputy medical director, a representative of finance, a non-executive member of the Dumfries and Galloway NHS Board and two community council representatives.
A spokesman said afterwards: “Although NHS Dumfries and Galloway appreciates that there will be interest in the outcome of today’s meeting, nothing can be said publicly at this time.
“It is hoped that information can be shared in due course, and we would ask for continued patience and understanding in the interim.”
