Arrest after Langholm bank raid

A MAN has been arrested in relation to a break-in at a bank in Langholm last month.

Police Scotland say a 40-year-old man from County Durham has been arrested in connection with the break-in to the Royal Bank of Scotland on Friday November 11.
And a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Local Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent Gary Ritchie said: “After considerable enquiry into this crime a man has now been arrested and will appear at court in due course.
“I appreciate the strong local assistance from the public in and around Langholm which has allowed this case to progress positively and highlights again to any would be criminals that they will pay a heavy price should they make the mistake of thinking our rural communities are a soft touch.”
