DETECTIVES  are appealing for information following a serious assault in Castle Douglas at the weekend in which a man was hurt.
Officers were called to the Dee area of the town at about 10.20 pm on Sunday night to a report of a serious injury.Emergency services attended and a 45-year-old man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.An 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 28 May, 2024.Detective Inspector Scott Wilson said: “I am appealing for anyone with any information, CCTV footage or dash-cam footage which may assist our enquiries to contact police.“There will be an increased police presence while we carry out our investigation and anyone with any concerns or information can contact these officers.”Anyone with any information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 3876 of Sunday, 26 May, 2024.
