Back together

MEMBERS of Annan Town Band wrapped up warm to hold their first in person, covid friendly rehearsal in over a year this week.

The practice session was held outdoors in the car park at Violetbank on Wednesday night, courtesy of Annan Rugby Club.

It was also the first time the band has played together as a group since their Scottish Championship winning performance on March 7 2020.

A spokeswoman said: “This is the start of our preparations towards the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in September, where Annan will represent Scotland in the second section in our 120th anniversary year.”
