Band sign off with final album

DUMFRIES blues band Chasin’ the Train’s new album with be released next week, but it will be the group’s last.

The five-piece band’s second and final album, ‘Signals’ will be released online on Friday April 4. The album continues the direction of their 2020 album ‘Dead Man’s Handle’, firmly rooted in the blues while bringing in elements of classic rock, jazz, punk, folk and prog.

But after playing together for over a decade with multiple festival appearances and countless gigs, the group have decided that it’s time to call it a day. In a joint statement the members of Chasin’ the Train said: “The last ten years have been outstanding and the members of Chasin’ the Train are truly honoured and privileged to have made so many friends across the country.

“Thank you to everyone who came and supported us at gigs or bought and downloaded our albums. We’ve become like a family, those ties will never be broken and we’re sure music will continue to be made in some form … but, for now, the Train has stopped a-rollin’!”
