STILLS have been released from the new forthcoming BBC drama, The Bombing of Pan Am 103.
Residents may remember that the cast and crew filmed in Lockerbie last May, including using the town hall and the Dryfesdale Cemetery.
And the result of that filming is a six-part series which tells the ‘untold story’ of the Scottish and American investigators who sought to bring the perpetrators to justice, the human impact, and the community who came together in Lockerbie and across the Atlantic.
It features a mix of fictional characters, along with recreations of actual residents who were in Lockerbie in 1988.

Although the official release date has not been confirmed, BBC bosses this week said it’s ‘coming soon’.
It was written by Jonathan Lee and was made by World Productions.
The cast includes many familiar names and faces, both British and American, including: Connor Swindells, of SAS Rogue Heroes and Sex Education; US Suits star Patrick J. Adams; along with Merritt Wever, Peter Mullan; Tony Curran, Douglas Hodge, Eddie Marsan, Nicholas Gleaves, Lauren Lyle, Andrew Rothney, Phyllis Logan, Cora Bissett, Kevin McKidd, Parker Sawyers, James Harkness, Molly Geddes, Khalid Laith and Amanda Drew.

The project was developed by film maker Adam Morane-Griffiths, whose research included extensive interviews with Scottish police officers and representatives from United States investigative agencies, many of whom have never previously shared their stories.
Producers and writers also spoke to many of the families and loved ones of the victims. A BBC spokesperson said: “Their stories revealed the impact the bombing had on their lives and the heroic activism that followed – resulting in lasting change to the way authorities approached security, safety and duty of care towards those involved in mass fatality incidents.”
* The Bombing of Pan Am 103 will initially be shown on BBC One and put on the BBC iPlayer, followed by Netflix globally.
