Bearded dragon found

A BEARDED dragon was fiound by a dog walker on a quiet country road near Thornhill.

The creature, which has been named Mushu, was discovered at Gatelawbridge and is now in the care of the charity’s animal rescue and rehoming centre in Ayr.

Animal rescue officer Tricia Smith said: “As Mushu was found half a mile away from any houses it is possible he has been abandoned. He seems to be fit and healthy so he may have escaped from his home nearby.

“We are appealing for anyone who recognises Mushu to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999.
