THE weekend saw the return of Whithorn’s Beer and Cheese Festival
Hosted by the All Roads Lead to Whithorn Community Development Trust.
The event took place at the village’s new town hall on Saturday and was well-attended with visitors getting the chance to sample the best that Galloway had to offer.
Over 10 breweries exhibited at the event including Whithorn’s own Five Kingdoms Brewery. There were also a number of food stalls and live music to entertain visitors.
Chairman of the trust Hazel Smith was delighted with the festival’s second outing describing it as an “exceptional”. She said: “We had a great mix of young and old people, locals and visitors, and some cute and well behaved babies, children even dogs too.
“The hard working staff of The New Town Hall did a fantastic job organising and running the event.
