A VIP guest dropped in at Brydekirk Primary yesterday.
As part of the school’s health week, they welcomed Deafalympian Bethan Lishman.
She is a hammer thrower from Cumbria who competes for Team GB and has taken part in four Deafalympic Games.

Bethan was also the runner-up in the Deaf Sports Personality of the Year Award in 2020.
Youngsters were delighted to meet her, hear her story and see her skills, as our photos show.
