WASTE collections were impacted by bad weather and road conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday, as it was deemed unsafe for refuse vehicles to leave their depots.

Communities affected included Lochmaben, Torthorwald, Auldgirth, Amisfield and some areas of Upper Nithsdale. Dumfries and Galloway Council plan to undertake replacement bin uplifts later in the week as the weather conditions permit.
