Bloodied man sought

A MAN wandering a roadside with a bloodied face is being sought by police.

Officers were called to the B723 Lockerbie to Annan road in the early hours of yesterday morning after receiving the disturbing report.

The man is described as white, late 30’s, tall and with a bald head.

He was wearing a dark baggy jumper, workman-like jeans and boots and had blood on one side of his face.

A person contacted police as he thought the man may require medical attention and officers carried out an extensive search of the area however were unsuccessful in tracing the man.

Constable Natalie Wilson at Annan said: “We believe that the man got out of a red Corsa car at around 2.30 am on Thursday at the junction of the B723 and B721 and therefore would urge the driver of that vehicle to contact police immediately.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone else who may have seen the man walking on the B723 or the man himself to contact police to let us know that he is safe and well.

“Please call Annan Police Office via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 0357 of 12 April 2018.”
