Boxing triumph for Michael

A CHARITY fight night in Lochmaben raised £1400.

The boxing event at the community centre last Saturday featured three fights and was all in aid of the Acorn House charity at Dumfries.
The main event was Michael Sandhu Vs Charles Pagan, in what was a big grudge match, with Michael getting back in the ring again after an injury and Charles trying his hand at boxing away from his sport of MMA.
Michael was victorious and won via total knockout in the second round with an impressive display.
In the other bouts, Kai Watson won Ben Petrie-Butler in the second round via tko. Both fighters gave it their all.
And the third fight saw Isaac Steedman up against Harris Leslie. Isaac won via decision after both had a gruelling three rounds.
Ticket sales and a raffle helped raise 1200.
And the organisers said: “From all of the organisers, fighters and everyone else who was involved in making the show possible, thank you for attending the evening and supporting the charity. The total money raised for charity was an incredible 1400. Thank you again for the amazing support.”
