Boy suffers broken arm in music event assault

AN 11-year-old boy suffered a broken arm in an assault during the free Youth Beatz music festival in Dumfries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place at about 5.45 pm on Saturday during the youth event at Dock Park.

Officers are looking to identify two boys aged around 11 to 13.

One male is described as over 5ft tall with short dark hair wearing dark blue shorts and a blue Lacoste polo shirt which had black sleeves and collar.

The other male is described as under 5ft tall, short blonde hair, wearing jeans and a grey Ralph Lauren polo shirt. The males in question are thought to have been playing with ‘silly string’ before the incident. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or can identify the two youths are asked to contact
