OVERNIGHT closures of the A75 starts later this week.
The busy Euroroute will be closed north of Cargenbridge from Friday until next Wednesday, January 22, each night between 8 pm and 6 am.
It is because Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential bridge expansion joint replacements.
A spokesperson said: “This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition and safety of the carriageway structures and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.”
Traffic diversions will be in place every night, however access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained.
The scheme is weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
