DISNEY could be calling for a Dumfries pageant girl as she gears up to take part in the Face Of The Globe contest.

Jordan Chisholm has been selected to compete for a place in a beauty pageant held in Disneyland Paris.
The 20-year-old, who is in her first year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland studying contemporary performance practice, will soon be taking part in a regional heat held at The Holiday Inn, Glasgow in the adult category.
If she is selected as one of the five representatives from that group, Jordan will be invited to Disneyland Paris in October to compete against girls from all over the world.
Jordan said: “I entered this competition because I wanted to represent Dumfries by doing something unique.
“Although I am used to performing in front of audiences, I have never done anything like this before and it is for a great cause.”
Discussing nerves, she said: “I will be completely out of my comfort zone but I am looking forward to the overall experience and can’t wait to tell people about the exciting things happening in Dumfries.
“I am sure it will give me an insight into a world I have always been curious about.
Jordan hopes that the interviews with the judges on the day will allowed her to show off her personality, as the finalists will be judged not just on looks, but also their personalities.
As well as crowns, awards such as Miss Publicity and Miss Charity in aid of Rainbow Child Foundation are also up for grabs.
