In court last Friday, George Hume, 54, from Castle Avenue, Sanquhar, was also ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work.
He was found guilty of committing the assaults between January 2009 and July 2012.
In two cases he sat beside the women and put his hand on their thigh and rubbed it up and down and also attempted to put his hand in the clothing of two of them.
Bus assault man sentenced
A MAN who sexually assaulted two women and indecently assaulted another while on bus journeys between Dumfries and Sanquhar has been given a community payback order and placed on the sex offenders' register.
