A CANCER information bus will visit Dumfries next week offering people the chance to get free and confidential information.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s Mobile Information Centre will be situated in Queensberry Square next Thursday October 20 between 9 am and 3 pm.

Anyone with questions or concerns about any aspect of cancer can call into the bus to have a confidential chat with an information specialist or pick up some leaflets.
Scotland Mobile Service team lead Amanda Fry said: “Macmillan believes that no one in Dumfries should face cancer alone and we hope that the Mobile Information Centre will help ensure support is available nearby for those who need it.
“We visit towns and cities across the UK, providing answers to people’s questions about cancer and it’s all free and completely confidential.
“Many of us will be affected by cancer at some time during our lifetime so there are many people in Dumfries who are either living with cancer themselves or know a relative or friend who has been diagnosed with cancer.”
Anyone unable to attend can get information about cancer by calling Macmillan free on 0808 808 00 00, on Monday to Friday, 9 am to 8 pm, or by visiting macmillan.org.uk
