Bus passenger views wanted

FEEDBACK on Stagecoach’s new X74 'problem service' is being sought from passengers.

Dumfriesshire MP David Mundell is urging users of Stagecoach’s new X74 services to share their experience of the buses.

Constituents have been complaining about the new designs since they were introduced before Christmas on the popular route to Glasgow and Mr Mundell is keen to keep up the pressure on Stagecoach bosses.

He said: “This is an issue which is being raised all the time by constituents who are users of this bus service.

“Elderly and disabled users in particular are at a huge disadvantage with the new designs and are having to struggle up and down narrow stairs which isn’t pleasant at all.”

He added: “I know Stagecoach spent a lot of money on these new buses, but it is clear that many passengers are unhappy with their journeys as a result of their changes.

“I am determined to keep pressing Stagecoach bosses on their new services to make them more aware of the concerns of passengers.”

Anyone who wishes to share their experiences of the new X74 services should contact Mr Mundell on [email protected] or write to Monro House, Duncan Drive, Moffat, DG10 9JW.
