POLICE are appealing for information following a break-in and theft at a business premises in Langholm.

The premises in Glenesk Road were broken into between 11.30 pm and midnight last Friday and tobacco and alcohol were stolen from inside.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact officers.

They are particularly keen to trace a dark coloured hatchback seen in the area around the time and four men, described as wearing dark clothing, who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Andrew Davis said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to come forward.

“We are also looking to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone or any vehicles in the area around this time to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.
