Businessman admits £100k VAT fraud

A BUSINESSMAN has appeared in court at Dumfries on a charge of being concerned in the fraudulent evasion of Value Added Tax amounting to £100,000.

David Lindsay, 49, of Haas Grove, Lockerbie, this week admitted committing the offence at his home and also at Newlands Court at West Acres in Lockerbie and elsewhere between February 2005 and April 2013.
The case was continued to July 12 for background reports.
