THE latest in a series of carvings for the Whithorn Trust is starting to take shape.

Newton Stewart carver Glen Marsh from Whithorn ReBuild was commissioned by the trust to create carvings for their visitor experience. His latest work is a Viking-era helmet with skull inside, carved from a lump of timber, which will be used to guide visitors to the app which will reveal the site at the time period represented by the sculpture
