A DIVERSE and welcoming ladies social group has celebrated 14 successful years and its 200th member.
Dumfries Get Together has helped members to make a new social life and enjoy what life has to offer.
The group is open to all women across the region and beyond who are keen on meeting new people with a variety of backgrounds and interests.
Making new friends and at the same time enjoying lots of different varieties of events and activities is what its all about and that’s what was evident at Kindar House last Saturday as the majority of the 233 members got together for a fabulous day.
The 200th member Jane Jung received flowers and a bottle of bubbly before a ukelele group provided entertainment.
Founder Diane McGowan said: “What a fantastic day we had celebrating our 200th member Jane and 14 successful years of Dumfries Get Together!
“We didn’t need the sun to shine outside as it shown inside Kindar all afternoon.
“It was so lovely to see so many of our ladies all dressed so glamorously and smiling so much, lots of fun, laughter and, of course, dancing to be had.
“Everyone said the ukulele were amazing. Jayd and Jenna from FitSteps Dumfries came along at the end of the afternoon too to entertain us with their singing, which was fabulous.”
