LOCKERBIE’S iconic Dryfesdale Church has now been put up for sale by the Church of Scotland for £65,000.
Offers are being invited on the “captivating B-listed church and session house”, which cover 6129 square feet in total.
The historic property comprises an entrance hall, vestry, nave, flanking aisles, chancel, apse, store and first floor viewing gallery
While the session house features an entrance vestibule, hall, kitchenette and toilet.
Potential buyers are also advised that there are a number of war memorials situated within the church.
The Church of Scotland notes that: “The building could be used, without the necessity of obtaining change of use consent, as a crèche, day nursery, day centre, educational establishment, museum, art gallery or public library.
“It also has potential for a variety of other uses, such as a theatre, cinema or entertainment venue, retail space or community resource, subject to obtaining appropriate consents.”
