But the very next day sheared her head with the help of barber Gary Lewis, and in the process raised in excess of £450 for Cancer Research UK.
In addition, her hair has been sent to The Little Princess Trust, where it will be transformed into a wig for a sick child.
She said: “So many people around me have or are affected by cancer and it’s dev- astating.
“I’ve seen it tear apart people’s lives and wanted to do as much as I could to sup- port them for the better.”
She added: “I’ve been raising money for various charities such as the National Autistic Society and PDSA since I was a wee girl. It’s made me who I am.
“My next charity stunt is in October, taking part in the SAMH stomp at Murray Field stadium.”
