COASTGUARD teams from the Isle of Whithorn, Drummore, Stranraer, Portpatrick, Ballantrae, Portling and Kirkcudbright helped with a cliff rescue at the weekend.
They were called into action, along with Kippford RNLI, to assist a person stuck on the cliffs at Balcary Point on Saturday.
They had gone to rescue sheep and found themselves in difficulty,
A Stranraer Coastguard spokesperson said: “Fortunately there were no injuries and the casualty was lifted from the cliff by Coastguard helicopter and the teams returned to base.
“If you find animals over a cliff please contact the Coastguard and seek advice – do not attempt to rescue themselves you could be risking your life!
“In an emergency on the coast call 999 and ask for the coastguard.”
