Closed church put up for sale

HUTTON Church has been put up for sale for offers over £40,000.

The church in Boreland was closed last year.

And now the Church of Scotland have put it on the market, describing it as “a traditional T-shaped church surrounded by peaceful rural surroundings.”

The brochure notes that the single storey building could potentially be used as a creche, day nursery, day centre, educational establishment, museum, art gallery or public library.

Other uses are mooted too, including a theatre, cinema or entertainment venue, retail space or community resource, subject to planning consent.

The full particulars can be viewed on the Church of Scotland website.
