Co-op raid: accused in court

A MAN who twice within less than a fortnight raided a supermarket in Langholm for alcohol has been remanded in custody.

And in court on Monday, the sheriff at Dumfries called for background reports on the accused.
Allan Murray, 41, of Academy Place, Langholm, admitted stealing four bottles of whisky at the Co-op store in nearby Glenesk Street on October 9 and breaking into the premises 11 days later and stealing a dozen bottles of drink.
The case was continued to November 18.
