THE Solway Firth Partnership has been posting about some of their finds on the region’s coastline.
One of those was a plastic lid from a Downwards Douglas pop bottle. Detective work traced it to an Isle of Man manufacturer who closed over ten years ago, showing the longevity of plastic products.
And this week the partnership was appealing for help to “solve the mystery” of a Chinese plastic bottle, pictured, which was found on a beach locally.
A spokesperson said: “Manufactured and sold in China, the Cestbon bottle looks a good as new but is a long way from home!”
The partnership later updated followers that they thought it had probably come from a passing cargo vessel, adding that another bottle, this time from Malaysia, was found just last weekend
