DO YOU know a community champion?
Nominations are wanted from Dumfries and Galloway for Age Scotland’s inaugural older people’s community champion 2025 awards.
This year, they want to celebrate communities’ small acts of kindness, generosity and support offered to the older generation by friends, neighbours etc. They need to be recognised as it makes a massive difference to the older people’s lives even if it’s just a small chore like mowing the lawn or delivering their mail. Everything and anything helps; big or small!
Katherine Crawford, chief executive at Age Scotland, said: “We are delighted to open nominations for the 2025 Age Scotland awards – an opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication for individuals, groups and organisations making a positive difference to the lives of older people in Scotland.”
So, if you know someone who has made a positive difference to an older person’s life or you have yourself, you have until June 27th to get your nominations in for the first ever community champion award.
