Cricket club's Oz signing

Dumfries Cricket Club have announced the arrival of overseas player Dave Carlton.

Arriving from Wests Cricket Club in Newcastle, Australia, Carlton will play in the Premier Division for the club during the 2017 season, and is a hard hitting left hand top order batsman.
He said: “I’m very excited to join Dumfries Cricket Club, the facilities at Dumfries Sports Club, Nunholm are excellent.
“I am looking forward to the season starting and being involved with all the clubs sessions and matches.”
Andrew Reed, club chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Dave to Dumfries Cricket Club. We are looking forward to his involvement with the club at both coaching sessions for the women and girls, juniors and senior set up, as well performances on the pitch on match days.”
