Dance act coup for events group

A LEGENDARY techno dance group are coming to Lockerbie this spring and and have enlisted the support of local up and coming DJs to add to their line-up.

Hit makers The Time Frequency, commonly known as TTF, are set to grace the town hall stage in May thanks to the efforts of local events group Junction 17.

Junction 17’s Pogo Patterson said: “We are a small voluntary group of six like minded individuals who tirelessly work hard to bring not only the biggest, but the best entertainment to Lockerbie.

“As a group we believe we’re doing just that. In our first year we organised a free kids day, a drive in movie, an ABBA tribute night and our very first event was the very well supported Pogo and Stevie’s Skaturday Night Takeaway.”

He added: “But our next venture has not only got the town talking, but the whole country and beyond.

“J17 are over the moon to say Scottish dance act The Time Frequency will be performing live at Lockerbie Town Hall on May 28.”

For Pogo, it’s a dream come true.

He said: “On a personal note I’ve always wanted to bring a band to Lockerbie who has had top 40 hits.

“And the TTF fits that bill, they have five UK top 40 hits including a top 10 hit. To get them to come to our wee town is something J17 should be proud of.

“Not only that, we will also be giving local DJs the chance to support such a huge act. All in all it’s shaping up to be biggest event we’ve ever done.”

Also on the bill is well known DJ Rankin and local acts DJ Catty, DJ Graeme Bell and TJay, who are delighted to be supporting such a well known Scottish group.

Pogo said: “Tickets for the dance extravaganza are going fast since they went on sale last week. With sales from Aberdeen to Yorkshire.

“J17 would like to thank you all once again for your overwhelming support in everything we do. This will be the party of all parties.”
