Castle Loch Lochmaben Community Trust and Mostly Ghostly have arranged the torch light walk complete with spooky tales.
Participants will meet at Victory Park on the edge of Lochmaben and head for the atmospheric ruins of the castle.
Gathered in the woodlands and grounds surrounding the castle, the paranormal investigations team will regale the group with tales and stories spanning centuries of dramatic history.
The loch’s project officer, Darren Flint, hopes the partnership event will be well supported and wants visitors to come along to discover the mysteries of this magical site.
He said: “I was very pleased to be approached by Mostly Ghostly about organising a joint event and already looking forward to a dark and spooky evening in the woods.”
Kathleen Cronie, founder member of Mostly Ghostly, is equally excited at the prospect of working with the trust.
She said: “We’re thrilled to be working together on this eerily entertaining event and are passionate about promoting Lochmaben’s rich local history entwined with a collection of spine-tingling tales.”
The event, which takes place on September 19, is for children aged 12 and over and the walk is estimated to last about 35 minutes.
Everyone is advised to bring along a torch and wear warm outdoor clothes and walking shoes – more information can be found at www.mostlyghostly.org/top-tour-tips.
