Day centre celebrates Christmas

GRETNA Day Centre held a Christmas party on December 14 with well over 50 elderly residents attending the festive celebration.

Ingredients for all dinners were supplied by the Gretna Green Group, who attended during the morning of the event to deliver food as well as presents for all clients and staff.

Cupcakes were also delivered by Joanne Boyde on behalf of Gretna and Rigg Community Council.

Annan and District Rotary Club also chipped in with a kind donation of £250 to the day centre.

During the event, Margaret Agnus was awarded with £500 after retiring from the Cumberland Building Society, which she split in half and donated partially to the day centre and partially to Alzheimers Scotland.

The Day Centre wishes to thank all of their staff, volunteers and management committee for all of their support and hard work, as well as all the clients that make it a happy place to work.
