Defibrillator map revealed
DEFIB MAP . . . Rotarian Roger Claymore and club president Bryan Woods

A NEW map has been produced showing all the defibrillators in Lockerbie.

It’s the work of the town’s Rotary Club and clearly shows the locations of all 18 pieces of life saving equipment.

They hope it will help anyone trying to find a defib or who finds themselves in an emergency situation.

Copies of the map are now going to be placed in the windows of shops and buildings across the town.

Meanwhile, club members were at Lockerbie Fire Station yesterday to officially launch the map.

Firefighters have welcomed its introduction and will keep a copy on their premises.

They are holding a recruitment open day on Saturday December 3 when attendees can learn CPR and find out where the defibrillators are and how to use them.

It will also be an opportunity to meet the crew, who will share their experiences about being on call and provide an opportunity to join the team.

Our pictures show yesterday’s launch and a copy of the map will appear in next week’s paper.
