It reopened on Monday after four and a half years closed and a massive refurbishment programme costing £19.3 million.
And the management team at the complex, which includes pools, a gym and sports hall, hope that users will come flooding back.
Posting on social media, they said: “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 4 and a half years and has helped get us to this point.
“It is the beginning of a very bright and exciting future for us all . . . there’s no negativity, there is no looking back, there is just excitement that the hard work all of our staff have put in behind the scenes and front of house over the last few years (and in particular the last few weeks) is going to deliver a leisure centre that Dumfries and the wider areas can be proud of.”
