Dog trio in forever home hunt

DOGGY siblings Nipper, Dot and Domino are seeking their forever home together.

Currently, the short-haired Staffordshire Bull Terrier X Spring Spaniels are being cared for at the Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre at Glencaple but staff are keen to get the friendly trio settled somewhere permanent.

They arrived at the centre on July 10, after their owner passed away and his wife could not manage three dogs alone.

Centre manage Emma Patterson explained they want to keep the dogs together, which makes rehoming tricky.

She said: “We tried rehoming Nipper with a family but she just didn’t settle.

“When she was reunited with her brother and sister she was like a different dog.

“It’s hard to find someone who can take three dogs, but these three really need to stay together.”

Dot and Domino are both ten-years-old and Nipper is seven.

All three are in good health, but Dot does have a joint issue and is on supplements.

Emma added: “We’re looking for a family home for them, with children aged over ten and no other indoor animals.

“Ideally there would be someone at home with them much of the time and good outdoor space for them to run freely.

“They all walk well on a lead and can easily be walked together by one person.”

Anyone interested in adopting Nipper, Dot and Domino can contact the centre on 01387 770210.

For more information on the dogs, visit the charity’s website.

Interest can also be registered on the dogs’ page and suitable parties will be contacted.
