A DUMFRIES church will be opening its doors to everyone over the Christmas period.
The River of Life Church is inviting anyone who would be alone or finding Christmas difficult to their celebrations on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There wlll be a Big Christmas Food Giveaway on December 24 from 7 pm, when there will be food from Aldi, Marks and Spencers, Tesco and Lidl, which they didn’t manage to sell before the holidays.
Then dinner will be served up on Christmas Day from 1 pm in their base by Dumfries Station. It will be turkey and all the trimmings and is open to anyone who’d otherwise be alone on the big day, or is finding this time of year difficult.
River of Life pastor Mark Smith said: “We want everyone to feel included and valued. We want every person who accepts our open invitation to feel a tangible sense of the love of God.”
