INVESTIGATIONS are underway following two Annandale burglaries.
The first took place near Ecclefechan between Thursday and Sunday.
The front door of a home was forced open, using tools, and following an ‘untidy search’ the thieves stole items and between £600-£800 in cash before taking off.
And between 6.30 pm and 11.30 pm on Saturday, a property near Waterbeck was broken into in a similar manner.
Gold jewellery, including chains, rings, cufflinks, earrings and a bracelet were all taken in the ‘careful search’ as well as around £200 in cash
Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to call Police Scotland on 101.
