Eastriggs ‘legend’ retires from school
FESTIVE FAREWELL. . . (From left to right) Sophie Watson, Alison Baird, Kaidy Moore

IT’S the end of an era at Eastriggs Primary with the retirement of janitor Alison Baird after 33 years.

During her time being janitor and cleaner, she has worked endlessly to help the school and the community of Eastriggs.

As the school caretaker, she opened up and stuck around for many a night class and badminton competition, often into the wee hours.

She is a friendly familiar face in the school community and also volunteers at Devil’s Porridge where she enjoys a wee chat to the visitors and locals.

She will be greatly missed at Eastriggs Primary and everyone connected to the school wishes her very well in her retirement.
